Who we are
Zam-Zam Islamic College was founded in 2017 by Sheikh Muhammad Aminu Ibrahim (Daurawa) with a single conviction: that a child can attain the highest standards of conventional education without surrendering an atom of their faith. We pursue full human development — spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically — in an integrated Islamic and conventional school that runs from Primary 1 to SSS 3.
We believe that ignorance is the foundation of all human suffering. Knowledge without purpose is like a ship without a compass.
To raise students who study the Qur'an and reflect its teachings in their actions.
To empower students with the knowledge, skills and moral compass to thrive in the modern world while upholding the values of Islam.
To be Northern Nigeria's top-ranked integrated school — renowned for academic distinction, innovative learning and moral leadership.
The education pathway
Each stage builds on the last — Qur'an at the centre, the national curriculum taught to distinction around it.
P1 – P6 · minimum age 5
The foundation years: Qur'an alongside literacy, numeracy, ICT and bilingual Arabic–English learning — a child fluent in both worlds from the very first day.
One year · foundational
A one-year intensive foundation for pupils joining from other systems — especially non-English backgrounds. Excel here and a student may skip straight to JSS 2.
JSS1 – JSS3
The full national curriculum, taught to distinction — and completion of Qur'an memorisation is a graduation requirement, not an aspiration.
SSS1 – SSS3 · four streams
Four academic streams with focused WAEC, NECO, NBAIS and JAMB preparation, while Murajaʿah (Qur'an revision) continues to the final day.
Senior secondary
From SSS 1 every student pursues one of four focused streams — with WAEC, NECO, NBAIS and JAMB preparation built in, and Murajaʿah continuing throughout.
For the future physicians, engineers and researchers — rigorous laboratory-led sciences.
For the future jurists, writers and statespeople — the humanities taught with depth.
For the future entrepreneurs and financiers — enterprise grounded in ethics.
For the future builders and innovators — hands-on technical mastery.

The ZICK framework
Not a slogan — the working framework every ZICK day is built around.
01
Every student memorises the entire Qur'an — the spine of the ZICK journey, with daily Hifz and continuing Murajaʿah.
02
Faith practised, not merely recited: honesty, compassion and worship woven into the rhythm of every school day.
03
Spiritual, mental, emotional and physical development held in deliberate balance — the whole child, whole.
04
Students taught to teach themselves — study skills, curiosity and ownership of their own progress.
05
ICT fluency, collaboration, communication and digital creativity for the world our students will lead.
06
Self-awareness, empathy and composure — the quiet skills that make knowledge usable among people.
07
An eye for beauty and excellence in language, presentation and conduct — adab in its fullest sense.
08
A college of readers and writers: libraries used daily, ideas expressed clearly and confidently on paper.
09
Responsibility given early — the Shura Council, prefectship and service shape leaders who deliver.
10
Questions welcomed, evidence weighed, conclusions earned — minds trained to think, not just to remember.
Why ZICK
What parents tell us made the difference.
Islamic and conventional education as one seamless programme — never a trade-off.
A maximum of 24 students per class: every child known, every child seen.
Spiritual, academic, emotional and physical growth pursued together.
A culture of questions and evidence, from Primary 1 to SSS 3.
Complete Qur'an memorisation inside the school day — not an after-hours burden.
